Facilities Engineering Supervisor

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Engineering Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operation of facility systems and infrastructure, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and lead the facilities engineering team, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance team performance.

- Oversee the planning and execution of facility maintenance, repair, and improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset life.

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and building codes, conducting regular inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, safety, and quality assurance, to coordinate projects and ensure alignment with company objectives.

- Manage vendor relationships, including contracts, procurement, and service level agreements, to ensure high-quality service delivery and cost-effective solutions.

- Monitor facility systems performance, troubleshooting issues as they arise and implementing corrective actions as needed.

- Prepare and manage the facilities budget, tracking expenses and forecasting future financial needs.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance audits.

- Evaluate and recommend improvements to facility layout and design to enhance operational efficiency.

- Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement within the facilities management function.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field is preferred.

- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in facilities management, maintenance engineering, or a related role, with supervisory experience preferred.

- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems and operations.

- Familiarity with building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.

- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on performance and development.

- Proficiency in facilities management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively working with diverse teams and stakeholders.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
