Head of Hospitality Sales and Marketing

Timbers Company is seeking an innovative, strategic, and results-driven Head of Hospitality Sales & Marketing to lead the continued elevation and global expansion of the Timbers brand. This key leadership role will oversee hospitality sales and marketing initiatives across our exclusive luxury resort portfolio, with emphasis on Timbers’ hospitality operations and brands. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader, strategic thinker, and hands-on executor with proven expertise in luxury hospitality sales, marketing, digital innovation, and brand building.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Marketing Oversight

  • Support and drive hospitality sales and marketing across the Timbers portfolio with initial emphasis on Timbers Kaua‘i, Casali di Casole, The Sebastian – Vail, and South Seas resort.
  • Partner directly with on-property heads of sales and marketing to align property specific initiatives with brand standards and revenue goals.
  • Ensure brand integration and consistency across property level marketing while supporting the unique identity of each location.
  • Lead marketing strategy to enhance rooms and ancillary revenues, optimize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and RevPAR index across all resorts.

Revenue Generation and Performance

  • Develop and execute integrated, innovative marketing strategies that maximize total revenue and grow market share among comp sets.
  • Leverage data and performance analytics to identify opportunities and improve commercial performance through lead generation and conversion optimization.  Present results and forecasts regularly to leadership, investment partners, and ownership.
  • Help direct revenue management strategies to align pricing, distribution, and promotions with market demand.  Manage outsourced centralized revenue management.
  • Oversee and evolve marketing technologies and CRM strategies to drive guest personalization and retention.  Ensure data driven marketing efforts are supported by efficient platforms and systems.
  • Partner with the Reservations Team to optimize booking strategies, call center performance, and personalized guest conversion tactics across channels.

Digital, PR, and Innovation

  • Oversee digital marketing, public relations, and content strategy to ensure effective brand storytelling and high-impact campaigns (lead generation, conversion and on-property revenue capture).
  • Manage and optimize relationships with external marketing and PR agencies, ensuring alignment with brand vision and performance goals.
  • Identify and test emerging digital channels, including AI-driven tools and technologies, to drive efficiency and innovation in marketing efforts.

Brand Leadership

  • Champion and strengthen the Timbers brand globally, ensuring consistency, innovation, and resonance across all channels and properties.
  • Act as brand steward, developing and implementing strategies that elevate brand equity and positioning in the luxury market.
  • Strengthen Timbers’ position and awareness as premier developer and operator of luxury resorts in the world’s most sought-after destinations.

Team & Partnership Leadership

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing Timbers hospitality sales and marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Support on-property sales and marketing teams from Italy to Hawaii by providing vision, strategic guidance, tools, and best practices.
  • Develop and expand commercial partnerships that align with brand objectives, enhance Owner/guest experiences, and drive revenue opportunities.
  • Enhance onsite capture strategies and tools to improve guest engagement and cross-sell opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Oversee Owner marketing and communication strategies to support retention, referral, and brand advocacy across the Timbers portfolio.
  • Oversee the Web Developer and digital infrastructure to ensure website performance, user experience, and booking functionality align with brand standards.
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to the reservations team, ensuring alignment with revenue goals, guest experiences, and upselling opportunities.

Strategic Communication & Launches

  • Coordinate the strategic planning and execution of major brand and property announcements, openings, and repositioning campaigns.
  • Ensure all internal and external communications are aligned with brand and support business objectives across internal and external audiences.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in hospitality marketing and sales, preferably in luxury residential resorts or high-end hotel environments.
  • Demonstrated success in brand building, digital marketing, revenue management, PR, and lead generation/conversion.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a deep understanding of hospitality sales and marketing KPIs (RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, ROAS, cross-over, index performance).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Passion for technology and innovation, with a strong desire to explore and implement AI solutions, digital platforms, and next-generation marketing tools.  Yet able to deliver with tried-and-true methods.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude and a focus on execution and results.
