
Revenue Manager
Position Overview:
At South Seas, we are dedicated to curating exceptional guest experiences rooted in elegance, service, and thoughtful design. The Revenue Manager plays a pivotal role in maximizing the financial performance of the resort by implementing data-driven pricing strategies, managing inventory, and supporting the property's revenue initiatives. This leader will work cross-functionally with the Sales, Marketing, and Reservations teams to deliver profitability, efficiency, and elevated guest service—all while preserving the integrity of our brand promise.
Essential Functions:

Strategic Revenue Optimization:
- Implement tactical revenue strategies that align with the resort’s long-term business objectives.
- Manage daily pricing decisions, rate adjustments, and inventory controls across all distribution channels.
- Support group and transient rate strategy through analysis of displacement, compression, and demand forecasts.
- Monitor and action pickup trends, booking pace, and channel performance to optimize ADR and RevPAR.
Forecasting & Analytics:
- Prepare accurate short- and long-range forecasts by segment and channel.
- Maintain, interpret, and present internal reporting including STR, pick-up pace, demand trends, and budget performance.
- Provide insights and recommendations during weekly revenue strategy meetings to key stakeholders.
- Assist with reporting and analysis for ownership, brand, and executive leadership teams.
Reservations & Distribution Support:
- Ensure systems are accurately configured with current rates, offers, and restrictions.
- Ensure the smooth execution of all bookings, including special handling of VIPs, repeat guests, and travel consortia.
- Support the accuracy of OTA and third-party content, availability, and parity.
- Conduct audits to identify and resolve duplicate bookings, system errors, and rate discrepancies.
- Work with all segmentation contracts such as consortia and wholesale contracts.
Reservations Department:
· Oversee staff selection, training, professional development, and discipline.
· Assists in planning goals, objectives, procedures, and work standards for the department to benefit the individual property
· Reviews of all the following areas and reports on conversion, call stats, revenue booked, availability, occupancy, arrival & departures, regrets & denials, travel agent commission, agent productivity, call scoring and coaching
· Updating Cloud 5 on any upcoming changes and monitoring
· Month end reporting
Collaboration & Operational Excellence:
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing to optimize group pricing strategies and transient offers.
- Align with Accounting to ensure seamless billing, deposit collection, and financial accuracy.
- Maintain clean and consistent data across systems, including segmentation, rate codes, and reporting tools.
- Support training and best practices across the reservations and front office teams related to revenue processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, finance, or a related field; advanced revenue or hospitality certifications a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years in a revenue management or reservations leadership role, preferably within a luxury resort or boutique hospitality environment.
- Proficient in forecasting, pricing strategy, and data analysis with a strong understanding of market trends.
- Expert user of Excel and familiarity with PMS/RMS platforms (SMS Host preferred).
- Detail-oriented, results-driven, and collaborative with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Deep understanding of the luxury guest mindset and the importance of tailoring the guest journey from booking to post-stay.
Preferred Tools & Experience:
- SMS Host, Delphi, Travel Click, ihotelier, Revinate, STR, Duetto, OTA extranets, and revenue reporting systems.
- Experience working within an ultra-luxury, resort, or mixed-use property (hotel + residences) environment is highly desirable.
Managers are expected to maintain flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate business needs, which will include working over 40 hours per week and responding to emergencies or unplanned operational needs after hours. Evening and weekend shifts may be required.
